Privacy Policy

We appreciate your interest in DATRONIK. Protecting your personal data is important to us. Below we inform you which data we process when you visit this website and which rights you have.

1. Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is:

Datronik Laser & Automation Solutions GmbH & Co. KG
Gutenbergstraße 17, 49479 Ibbenbüren, Germany
Phone: +49 5451 56076-10
E-mail: info@datronik.de

2. Key points in brief

This website uses no analytics or marketing cookies and no tracking. We process personal data only where you actively provide it to us — for example via our contact form or by e-mail — or in so far as this is necessary for the technical operation of the website.

3. Contact form and contact by e-mail

If you use our contact form, we process the data you enter: company, first and last name, e-mail address, the subject of your enquiry and your message, as well as — on a voluntary basis — telephone number and position. The processing serves solely to handle your enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry serves the initiation or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).

We erase the data as soon as your enquiry has been conclusively handled and no statutory retention obligations prevent erasure. If a business relationship arises, the commercial and tax law retention periods of six and ten years respectively apply. The same applies if you contact us directly by e-mail or telephone.

4. Job applications

If you apply to us, we process the data you submit — contact details, curriculum vitae, certificates and other application documents — solely for the purpose of conducting the application procedure.

The legal basis is Section 26(1) BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act) in conjunction with Art. 88 GDPR (decision on the establishment of an employment relationship). Your documents are accessible only to the persons entrusted with the recruitment procedure.

If no appointment is made, we erase your documents six months after the procedure has been completed. This period serves to defend against possible claims under the German General Equal Treatment Act (AGG). If you would like us to retain your documents for future positions, we will obtain your separate consent, which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future.

5. Embedded YouTube videos

On individual pages we embed videos from our YouTube channel. The embedding is deliberately designed to be privacy-friendly:

  • When the page is loaded, no connection to YouTube or Google is established. Initially you see only a preview image that is delivered from our own server.
  • The video player is loaded only once you actively start the video by clicking on it (known as the two-click solution).
  • In doing so, we use YouTube's enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com).

As soon as you start a video, your browser establishes a connection to Google's servers. In this process YouTube receives, among other things, your IP address and information about which video you have accessed; if you are also logged in to your Google account, Google can link this to your account. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The legal basis for playback is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in presenting our systems and processes in an illustrative manner. Further information on the handling of user data can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

6. Cookies and local storage

This website does not set any cookies for analytics or advertising purposes. Only technically necessary storage operations in the browser, which are required for the operation of the site, are used. A consent banner is therefore not required.

7. Fonts and media

Fonts, images and video files are delivered from our own servers. We do not embed external font services — such as Google Fonts via Google servers.

8. Your rights

You have the following rights vis-à-vis us with regard to your personal data:

  • Access to the data we process (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)

You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your rights, an informal message to info@datronik.de is sufficient.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW) (State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, www.ldi.nrw.de.

9. SSL encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the padlock symbol in the address bar of your browser.

10. Status and amendments

We amend this Privacy Policy whenever the website or the legal situation changes. The version published on this page applies in each case.
